Tea Practice Classes

Our small classes invite you into the quiet ritual of tea, where each 45-minute session unfolds with care. Arrive fifteen minutes early to settle, then follow a gentle ten-step practice that reveals how leaf, water, and temperature shape taste. With each movement in the performance of serving tea, attention turns inward—steadying the mind, deepening presence, and honoring the art in every step.

Seasonal gathering

Tea Ceremony

Step into a seasonal gathering where tea is shared as both art and refuge. Over the course of the ceremony, two to three carefully chosen leaves are prepared in sequence, each cup carrying its own rhythm, fragrance, and depth. Light offerings of delicacies may accompany the teas, inviting balance and ease. Held in an intimate setting, the ceremony welcomes stillness, gentle exchange, and quiet attention.

For returning students—refining movement, pacing, and sensory awareness, so the ritual unfolds with greater clarity, calm, and confidence. We also introduce the six categories of tea through the lens of tea making—how water, temperature, timing, and vessel choice reveal each tea’s character, and how to bring out the best in every leaf.
